And there we have it: the final stretch goal has been obliterated with over $150,000 raised! 12 Recessive Genes have now been added to the game.

The original genes (now called Dominant Genes) are by design extremely powerful and completely shift the flow of the game. However, sometimes people might want to have a slightly less intense genetic experience - and that is where Recessive Genes come in.

Recessive Genes are softer and offer minor strategic or highly situational advantages instead - useful for newer players or people wanting to only slightly change the standard game. 

Genes are double sided and the rules for using them remain the same - when setting up the game - you just decide which side to use.

Now that the final stretch goal is unlocked - we are fully focused on getting the game completed and in your hands as soon as possible. Over the next few days - we will be gathering your feedback and input on various game components.

778% funded and News Blackout added

We are entering the final stretch of the campaign now!

We are 778% funded and the News Blackout event card is now added to the game. This event card is a great way to prevent any nasty surprises before your next turn and ensure predictability.

The feedback from playtesters continues to be extremely positive and extremely helpful. I'm taking a close look at the bioweapon which is performing too strongly when handled in a certain way - might remove one of the starting lethality but need to do more testing first. The new way of handling the genes is working really well :)

The final stretch goal for the campaign has also been unlocked now - this one is a big one! More info on it soon by the looks of things.

Would you describe yourself as old, ancient or decrepit? If so - the latest Tomorrow's World country card is for you. 

Now 720% funded - the Ageing Japan card is in the game. Tomorrow's World cards are a way for you to change up the country cards that appear in the game. They all look at different things that are going on in the world - some more serious than others. Here - we look at what might happen if Japan's population shrinks extremely drastically.

In other news, we've been doing Bristol playtests this week and have some more planned on Saturday which the latest balance tweaks and checks. Will keep you all posted

Day 4 - 400% funded and new gene added

Give the gift of Armageddon this Easter!

We all know you can never have too much genetic modification and day 4 sees a brand new gene get added to the game. 

This gene gives the owner a powerful DNA bonus whenever they kill a country - however, they will also see all the other players try to muscle in and get involved as well. Works best when you have the ability to infect countries without being disturbed by opponents too much.

The next stretch goal will add a whole load of new functionality to the (free) companion app - more info tomorrow

Day 6 - 480% Funded, new Everything tier added and add-ons

Happy Day 6 everyone! 

By far and away the biggest request so far has been from people who want to be able to get both the base game and the Enthusiast pledge level. Your wish is our command so we have now added a new pledge tier - the Total Armageddon Pledge. 

This includes everything from the Armageddon Enthusiast pledge level as well as a retail copy of Plague Inc: The Board Game. (shipping is more efficient as well) Upgrade your pledge now if you are interested :)

Separately - everyone will also be able to add extra copies of the game to your pledge as add ons after the campaign.
