What's red, yellow and infectious all over? It’s the new Armageddon board game expansion! 

The first copy off the factory production line (MPC) has arrived and we’ve been making sure everything’s up to scratch and ready to ship! Luckily - everything looks amazing and exactly as it should :) Now that manufacturing is finished, we can focus on actually getting the games to you...

Quick update - manufacturing nearly complete

The long wait for the games to be manufactured is nearly over! Things have taken longer than expected due to some factory delays and climate issues (I'll explain more next time) but we have a safety margin and we are still on track to get everyone the game in November. 

We are due to receive the MPC (the first copy off the factory line) next week - so we can review it and check it is all as it should be. Then we can get the shipping booked in and the games on the move. More info and photos soon :)

Pre-production copy preview

Armageddon gets physical! I'm excited to say that we've received the first copies of Armageddon here at the office, and everything’s looking feverishly fabulous. Before we get stuck into a few games here at Office Zero, here are my initial notes on the preview copy and some photos so you can get a better idea of the Armageddon coming your way...

• Secure Pathogen Containment Facilities: Awesome and v cute. A few issues with the box fit - manufacturer investigating if a template issue or just the way the preview copy was made 
• Repeat Infection pack: I love the extreme event cards. So much that I want to play with them all the time - I'm going to slip in a quick rule change to support this. (you will need to discard 2 other event cards from your hand to play them as they are so powerful)
• General production: All looking good however, the text quality and colour matching is not where it needs to be. Manufacturer investigating if an issue with the preview production process or something that we need to change

Next Steps

We will work with the manufacturer to address the issues we spotted and make a few changes - then move onto full production once we are happy with everything.

Survey lock down tomorrow and general status

Another quick status email:

General Status: On Track

We approved the final digital proofs and the factory is currently making us a pre production copy of the game so we can check it is all ok. Hopefully we will get that in the next few weeks and we can then share some lovely photos!

Locking down Backerkit Survey

We are going to lock down the survey and charge cards tomorrow (you will only be charged if you have brought extra add ons in Backerkit) As soon as this is done - all the digital codes will be sent out. If you haven't filled out the survey - please check your email - we need you to complete it so we can send your rewards out!

Collector edition of Plague Inc: The Board Game from last Kickstarter:

These are currently being sent out to people who ordered them. 

1 copy of the collector edition of Plague Inc: The Board Game from the original kickstarter is available again as the original payment didn't go through. Head to backerkit quickly if you want to grab it (you can do this even if you already completed your survey - just follow the original link)

Digital proofs, tariffs and general status

Hey everyone - quick status email!

Status: On Track

Yesterday we received the digital proofs from Panda - we have made a few small tweaks / changes based on them and are waiting for the next round. (These are the files that will be used in manufacturing so important that we are completely happy with them as much easier to make changes now)

Tariffs:

We have had a few people ask us questions about the US tariffs which could increase the costs of production by 25%. We are not going to be passing on any of the extra costs to you - we are in the lucky position that Plague Inc. is doing well enough that we can take the financial hit. To be clear - all the costs / prices remain unchanged - no need to panic!

Backerkit survey:

90% of people have completed their survey - thank you. If you haven't done it yet - please do so. If you haven't received an email - then send us a Kickstarter message so we can investigate. You need to do this so you can receive your rewards!
